Gary S. Lachman is an itinerant adventurer and international lawyer who suffers from geographical ADHD.  He is the author of five prior works including two murder mysteries, a science fiction novella, a personal tale of cancer survival, and a master’s degree textbook on international real estate, investment, development and law in emerging markets.  A US Coast Guard licensed captain, he is passionate about environmental issues, particularly clean rivers and seas, he runs a deep sea fishing charter boat operation in South Florida.  Lachman spent many years with the State Department, engaged in improving diplomatic facilities and intelligence community support in over 40 countries around the globe.  During this time he added to the extraordinary cast of characters he considers true friends that he’s amassed since childhood. He recently lived for 8 years in Istanbul, Turkey, enjoying a Byzantine life among complicated people and experiencing political and social upheaval firsthand.  In early 2015 he returned to his home port of Palm Beach, Florida to hunt the Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna, and Wahoo that inhabit the azure waters of the Gulf Stream.
